Tengzug, Tongo · Upper East
Dramatic granite hills and boulder caves above Tengzug, home to a powerful shrine and remarkable rock formations.
The local tip
Hire a local guide at the base; the shrine has rules about dress and behaviour, and the paths between rocks are easy to lose.
Check before leaving
Confirm the shrine's visiting rules and any customary offering expected.
